As Coral marks 100 years of service, the company used the occasion of the Lebanon Grand Energy Event 2025 to reflect on a century of achievement – and to outline a future defined by sustainability, inclusion, and measurable impact.
At the forum, convened by the Lebanon Committee of the World Energy Council and the Lebanon Center for Energy Conservation, Coral officially launched its centennial celebrations before an audience of industry leaders, policymakers, and energy experts. The milestone was marked not only as a testament to Coral’s longevity in Lebanon’s energy landscape but as a statement of intent for the century ahead: to drive responsible growth and social progress through innovation and collaboration.
From Legacy to Leadership
For a century, Coral has been part of Lebanon’s economic backbone – supporting national infrastructure, enabling mobility, and investing in human capital. Yet as Coral marks 100 years, the company views its history not as a conclusion, but as a foundation for renewal and future growth.
Coral’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy places people, planet, and transparency at the center of business decisions. This approach reflects a guiding belief: that true energy leadership depends not only on efficiency and scale, but also on fairness, accountability, and lasting community impact.

Driving a Cleaner Energy Future
During the event, Joseph Iskandar, Coral’s Business Development Director, presented the company’s roadmap for expanding Lebanon’s electric-vehicle (EV) charging network – a cornerstone of the nation’s transition toward cleaner transport.
In a parallel session, Marc Khawaja, Executive Director of Cnergies, introduced the latest initiative by Coral, which aims to expand decentralized solar solutions for the private sector. Together, these initiatives form a key part of Coral’s broader vision to advance accessible, affordable, and low-carbon energy systems nationwide.

Sustainability in Action
Coral’s sustainability portfolio shows that ambition is matched by measurable progress. A corporate carbon assessment conducted under the GHG Protocol since 2021 has guided targeted investments in energy efficiency, onsite solar generation, and nature-based solutions such as reforestation. These measures have already contributed to a measurable decline in emissions intensity across operations – even as the group expanded assets and staffing.
Through Cnergies, Coral has also created financing pathways that make solar adoption more attainable, partnering with local providers to scale renewable energy solutions for the private sector.
Empowering People and Communities
Inclusion remains central to Coral’s centennial vision. The company continues to foster diversity through policies that open operational and leadership roles to everyone based on transparent, merit-based advancement
Coral’s community programs have also reached more than 1,600 students through scholarships over the past four years, alongside initiatives in sports and health that promote participation for all. These people-focused investments highlight Coral’s belief that sustainability begins with opportunity, and that success is strongest when shared with the communities it serves.
A Century of Commitment
Reflecting on the milestone, Coral CEO Oscar Yamin said: “Reaching 100 years is not the end of a story – it’s the start of a new chapter. Our responsibility now is to ensure that progress is sustainable, inclusive, and transparent. Every initiative we launch, from clean energy to education, must contribute to a Lebanon that is stronger, fairer and ready for the future.”
Looking Ahead
Coral marks 100 years not only by celebrating its heritage but by reaffirming its purpose. As Lebanon and the region navigate the energy transition, Coral’s next century will be guided by the same values that defined its first: integrity, innovation, and a commitment to progress that includes everyone.
