Coral Marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month With a Message of Care and Solidarity

20 October 2025

This October, Coral marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month by joining the global movement through a series of initiatives designed to inspire awareness, compassion and preventive action. The effort reflects Coral’s commitment to people, wellbeing and inclusion, values that continue to shape the company’s approach to social responsibility.

A Company United in Awareness

At Coral’s Dora terminal, employees dressed in pink and white gathered under the leadership of CEO Oscar Yamin to mark the occasion and reaffirm the company’s support for health awareness and early detection. The event was heartfelt and symbolic, emphasizing Coral’s belief that the fight against cancer begins with knowledge, empathy and unity.

To make the message resonate across all sites and offices, all computer backgrounds were automatically updated company-wide for the entire month to feature the iconic pink ribbon – the universal symbol of breast cancer awareness – against a soft pink background. This daily visual served as a gentle reminder of solidarity and the importance of early screening.

Each woman at Coral received a pink rose accompanied by a personalized card carrying a message of awareness and encouragement. The gesture honored those who have faced breast cancer while celebrating the strength and resilience of women everywhere.

“Every gesture, no matter how small, can make a difference,” said Oscar Yamin, Coral’s CEO. “By creating a culture that talks openly about health and prevention, we remind one another that care and awareness are acts of strength – both in life and at work.”

Turning Awareness into Action

Beyond symbolic gestures, Coral used the occasion to share educational materials encouraging early detection, regular medical checkups and self-examination. Employees were invited to take time to learn more about breast health and to pass that knowledge forward – to family, friends, and their wider communities.

These efforts build on Coral’s broader wellness and CSR initiatives that promote both physical and mental health in the workplace. By embedding awareness into its organizational culture, Coral ensures that sustainability is not just about environmental responsibility – but also about caring for people and fostering long-term wellbeing.

A Reflection of Broader Values

The Breast Cancer Awareness campaign is part of Coral’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment, particularly the “S” pillar of social responsibility. From educational scholarships and sports initiatives to workplace inclusion and health awareness, Coral’s ongoing actions demonstrate that sustainable progress begins with people.

Looking Ahead

As Coral celebrates its 100th year in Lebanon’s energy landscape, these initiatives take on deeper meaning. They reflect a century-long legacy built on human values – and a vision for the future that places health, inclusion and compassion at the heart of progress.

By marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month with empathy and action, Coral reminds us that corporate responsibility is not measured solely by business achievements – but by how a company cares for the people who make progress possible.
