BEIRUT, Lebanon – Coral CEO Oscar Yamin reassured the public today that Lebanon’s fuel supply remains secure and stable. During an interview with MTV, he confirmed that the country currently has sufficient gasoline, diesel, and Jet A-1 fuel to meet national demand for around 45 days.
“The country’s fuel reserves are high,” Mr. Yamin said. “There is no need to queue at gas stations or panic. Coral has the largest storage capacity, and with the new deliveries, we will have reserves totaling 150 million liters and are fully prepared to meet the needs of citizens and businesses without interruption.” This capacity is further augmented by reserves held by other fuel importers.
Three fuel tankers already discharged at Coral’s terminal in Bourj Hammoud, with another tanker scheduled to unload tomorrow. According to Mr. Yamin, these deliveries will help maintain Lebanon’s strong fuel reserves and ensure uninterrupted distribution across the country.
Mr. Yamin said Coral has increased its supply orders to ensure sufficient fuel remains available nationwide, in coordination with the ministries following the instructions of the President and the Prime Minister.
Mr. Yamin also noted that authorities are taking all necessary precautions to prevent any disruption in essential supplies and services. Coral remains committed to supporting national energy stability and standing alongside the people and institutions of Lebanon during this period.
