A delegation of business leaders and executives including Coral Oil’s CEO Oscar Yamin and Executive Director Edgar Yamin, will participate in the world’s largest investment summit, SelectUSA 2023, from May 1 to May 4, 2023, in Maryland.
This year marks Lebanon’s second participation in the event, which is sponsored by the White House and led by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s SelectUSA program.
The Lebanese delegates participating in the summit met with U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea at the Lebanese-American Chamber of Commerce in Downtown Beirut, where the attendees discussed the opportunities that could arise from the summit, ranging from possible bilateral cooperation to business developments leading to job creation and generating growth.
This event underscores the seriousness of Lebanese businessmen in developing and extending bridges with the United States, despite all the difficulties that Lebanon and its private institutions have faced over the years, in order to strengthen trade relations between the two countries.
Coral Oil, a leading player in the petroleum sector, has adopted the mission “to grow sustainably” and has put in place an ESG committee that is constantly assessing opportunities for sustainable growth.
“We see SelectUSA 2023 as an important opportunity to explore new markets, expand our business and create jobs. Our mission is to grow sustainably, and we believe that this event is an excellent opportunity to build new partnerships in line with our goals,” explained Oscar Yamin, who is leading the Coral Oil delegation to SelectUSA 2023.
Coral Oil’s participation in SelectUSA 2023 underscores the growing importance of the relationship between the United States and Lebanon. Furthermore, the company’s presence at the event highlights the potential for investment and partnerships in the Sustainable energy industry.
