From September 20 to 22, Lebanon’s capital played host to the extraordinary Beirut Energy Week 2023 conference and exhibition, an event that comprehensively showcased the ongoing global transition toward green energy. This was especially timely for Lebanon, as the nation experiences an unexpected surge in solar energy development, positioning its market among the world’s fastest-growing.
The event, held at Le Royal Hotel in Dbayeh, brought together over 700 delegates and featured 25 specialized sessions, along with four side events conducted in collaboration with local and international partners. It was a pivotal gathering, enriching the collective understanding of the green energy transition.
During this forward-looking event, Coral Oil, Lebanon’s leading importer and distributor of fuel and petroleum products, proudly showcased its new Electric Vehicle (EV) charger. This stood as a testament to Coral’s dedication to supporting the transition toward green and sustainable energy solutions. Recognizing the evolving energy landscape, Coral commits to a greener future through embracing clean and renewable energy alternatives by integrating EV charging infrastructure.
The decision to showcase the EV charger at Beirut Energy Week was rooted in Coral’s understanding of the urgent need to reduce carbon emissions and promote environmentally friendly practices. The integration of EV charging stations aligns seamlessly with Coral’s vision to diversify and transform its business model. Their strategic plan includes a gradual integration of these charging stations into the existing service stations, offering a comprehensive solution that caters to both traditional fuel and electric vehicle needs. Coral’s ambition is to make clean energy easily accessible and convenient for its customers, thereby contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
Recognizing electric vehicles as a crucial component of Lebanon’s energy future, Coral is fully committed to supporting this transition by providing accessible and reliable EV charging infrastructure across the country.
However, Coral’s commitment to green energy extends beyond EV charging stations. The company is actively exploring and investing in a range of renewable energy projects to significantly reduce its overall carbon footprint. Initiatives such as solar energy installations and partnerships for clean energy generation, in addition to ongoing forestation efforts, showcase Coral’s dedication to being a responsible corporate citizen. Coral aims to contribute actively to a sustainable energy landscape, not only in Lebanon but also beyond. Its efforts are aimed at fostering a harmonious coexistence with the environment, paving the way for a cleaner and more sustainable tomorrow.
